Meet our teachers:

Lizet is a green-thumbed yogi that leaped into her landscape studies en route to her yoga journey. She finally landed in the Mother City, her Yoga haven. Five years of yoga trails finally settled her onto the mat in the winter mornings of 2012. She fell in love with the powerful self-practice of Asthanga. In 2014 she moved to India and Thailand to “practice practice...all is coming”. She completed her 250hr teachers training under the inspirational guidance of Asthangi/ Pranayama teacher, Paul Dallaghan. After completing the year with teaching, she returned to her heart’s home, Cape Town.

Kind self-observation, the spacious inhale, surrendering exhale, as well as the fluid focus and posture of Vinyasa is her buzz. She gets all giddy by fearless AcroYogi fun and she lovingly pursues Jiva Mukti’s hearty presence.

Off the mat, Lizet is zenning out in the garden, planting trees and assisting Environmental Warriors.

“There is sooo much magic to perceive with a soft receiving gaze.”

Murari is a full-time, initiated, devotee here at the temple and is our resident Yoga teacher.

He walked into his first yoga class in 2009 and fell in love with the practice and with his teacher Estralita. A few weeks before she left her body in 2014, after a 2½ year fight against cancer, she expressed her wish that he become a Yoga Teacher and continue her legacy. According to her last wishes he did his Yoga Teacher Training course with Anne and Martin Combrinck at the ASEI in Somerset West, SA.

He brings a blend of traditional Hatha and Vinyasa Flow into his classes with a focus on connecting to the divine.

Murari spent some time in Thailand practicing Yoga in various beautiful places while studying to become a qualified Thai 'Yoga' Massage therapist.

"Our bodies are just vehicles for the soul. Maintaining these vehicles in the best possible condition, through the practice of Yogic postures, breathwork, and meditation, enable us to reach towards higher levels of self-realisation and ultimately to the understanding of our true eternal relationship with the Divine Personality of Godhead"
